A Passion for Clocks
Dave is an active member of the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors, serving as Orange County Chapter President from 2001 to 2003, and again in 2008 and 2009. He is also on the board of directors of the Los Angeles chapter (56). The NAWCC has awarded him with both its Gold Appreciation Certificate and, in 2007, a Fellowship. In September of 2018, he was also admitted to the Freedom of the Worshipful Company of Clockmakers in London, the guild established in 1631 by King Charles I. He has lectured on horological topics, including at the NAWCC national symposium, and is co-author of “Tips on Collecting Clocks and Watches,” an NAWCC publication. At the 2015 NAWCC National Convention, Dave entered his own musical skeleton clock (right) in the annual crafts competition. He won not only his category's First Place award, he was also honored by the attendees with the coveted "People's Choice" award for the best entry in the competition.
Dave has posted his entire clock collection on the web for
others to share. To see over 60 antique and vintage American clocks, go
