Clock TroubleshooterShould you use WD40 on your clock? WD40 and other aerosol oils have their uses. Clocks are not among them. First, these oils leach copper from the brass parts (and subsequently turn green). They do not add proper lubrication. They are very difficult to remove from the movements -- they get into everything. They foul our cleaning solutions. We charge extra to clean movements that have been contaminated with these oils. Have we made our point?
